the dwelling ~
I am always brought back to my feet
standing open - I honor their resilience
I allow myself to recognise
the miles and miles they have travelled,
in the moments of ache and sorrow
when I treat them as less than they deserve
I hear them cry out
love me a little more today
and I listen.
when someone carries the weight of the world for you
it's important we show gratitude
to thank them for their reverence
their beauty
on the days they show signs of wear
of hurt
of defeat
I'm reminded
I'm always being held
right here
in these worn out shoes
each lace that is tied and crossed
reminds me of impermanence
a coming and going
restriction and liberation
a breaking free
they call out to me
roam this earth
as you please
your desires are our own
we are one
interconnected
stretched
broken pieces and all
allow yourself
to be
your own story.
-yours truly
