my pupils dilate upon meeting you here

the innocent waters crashing at your shore

inviting me into something more

your restlessness and impermanence radiates an aura of calm

I feel the peace and space you occupy running through me

some days I just want to place my feet over the ledge and jump

into your warm embrace

you’ve taught me how to quiet my heart

even at times when I’m questioning myself

I peer around as the cold misty air nourishes my being

thank you for seeing me, honoring me, holding me…

nature. with you, I am home

and at times when I feel lost and alone

remind me that you’ll always be here waiting

for me to jump into your lively green, caring arms.

our souls are intertwined, connected for eternity.
