Rebirth

I dream of sitting with the sun - no agenda in mind but simply practicing the art of being - as light travels to me and greets me with a smile. Breathing in, I invite this warmth to seep into my own humanness - allowing time and space as the glow brushes up against the softness of my skin, with such kindness and wonder. I inhale courage along with a fresh fragrance of pine and exhale the anxieties and fears that I feel limited and burdened by. I am reminded that these thoughts I encounter are all simply an illusion. Everything I need already exists within me.

My spine sinks into the park bench surrounded by the vast and still evergreens. I become aware of the arches of my feet firmly planted into the damp soil. I marvel at the sight of the birds singing their own song of returning home alongside me. I settle my mind and quiet my heart - observing thoughts as they come and go - and continue flowing - like a coloured leaf floating down a gentle stream.

I listen fervently as the sudden rainfall rejuventates my Spirit and washes away my sins. I encounter pure bliss, leaning into the essence of this moment. Looking inward, I recite a healing mantra in solitude: 'Loving awareness, I am." I speak into existence that the Universe will always take care of me. Any and all lingering fear dissipates and I am left with my open hands outstretched in front of me - thanking God for this body that allows me to continually show up - to listen and be present to the nourishing of my own soul.

I gently place my hand over my heart and curl my toes, sinking my soles into the wet Earth - that meets me with such tenderness. I open my eyes as nature fills my pupils with the colours of its soul. For the leaves that now rest on the ground beneath me, I find peace in knowing you can hibernate freely in this time of slowness until spring decides She will return to bloom yet again. As another year and season of life fades into distant memory, I am moved to tears reminiscing on my own resilience. What a special privilege and honor to be alive. Roaming free as the wildflowers. Returning to myself
